Conservation at the Welsh Harp

Our next Conservation Day will take place on Sunday 28th August 2022!

Conservation days take place on the last Sunday of each month. Activities include litter picking, pond maintenance, willow cutting, path reopening, bramble bashing, planting, and more! All welcome :)

Meeting point this month

West Hendon Community Hub - Community Centre, 7QE, Marsh Dr - London NW9 7QQ

Closest station is Hendon (Thameslink) or Hendon Central (Northern). Buses: 83, 32.


Pickers, hoops, bags, gloves (which you should keep and reuse), and hand sanitiser are all provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear. Bring a jacket if raining and also some water. And please bring a mug with you.

Health and safety

Please be sensible and don't endanger yourself by picking up things like needles or broken glass. Please wear appropriate clothing - jeans not leggings for example, and sturdy boots/wellies.

Please also beware of Giant Hogweed, and familiarise yourself with it. This weed can cause serious skin inflammation.
